Snow!

We got the first glimpse of snow last night, around 15 cm (5-6 inches). During the night the snowfall turned to rain and by the morning the snow was very wet . The evening snow was very refreshing. In combination with the wind, the icy felt like needles in the face. I had to do a ride with the pugsley in the morning before work as well and took a few pictures.

The snow will probably be completely gone in less than a week, but it still was refreshing.

  1. So it looks like the bike works well in snow and slush? My first 1,8 kms on my commute this morning were really difficult as the narrow tyres were constantly sliding all over the place...

  2. It was quite stable in the slush and wet snow, but I actually think I could have gotten for traction for the rear wheel with a narrow tire with big knobs. The Endomorph floated too much, whereas a narrow tire probably cut through to the ground. It was still fun, though.

  3. There is a bit of a learning curve as far as playing with the PSI in the tires. Last winter I settled on 6 psi in front and 8 in the rear for a time. Although with that being said, there are many different types of snow, hence different psi for the conditions.
I don't pretend to know your snow situation, but something to think about. I bought a different high volume mini pump, (with a hose on it), it works great!!
    Peace
